Head injury

Head injuries can range hugely from a bump, bruise or cut through to permanent brain damage and due to the vulnerability of the brain, such injuries can sometimes also involve claims for medical negligence.

All head injuries need to be taken very seriously, since the damage may not always be obvious or the , effects in the future so it is always advisable, even if you have perhaps simply fallen, bumped your head and  feel a bit off colour to get medical advice as soon as possible. Recording such injuries is also important as part of the injury claim process.

As head injuries may arise in so many ways and have such different impact, we do stress that the guidelines below are indicative only. Only after we have been instructed and all the medical evidence is available, which in many cases does not happen until expert medical professionals have decided on a long term of permanent outlook (prognosis) based on the head injury, will it be possible to be more specific. Even in those circumstances, the amount we consider to be appropriate is still based on guidelines and other cases.

You can rest assured you will be in safe hands with Lloyd Green. Our team have decades of specialist experience in dealing with claims based on head injuries, and we also represent relatives or other legally appointed representatives of claimants who have suffered an injury which means they do not have the necessary mental capacity by law to instruct us themselves.
